When it comes to designing a piece of jewellery, I find my inspiration from the world around me. I don't have one set vision that I work from, that contrains me too much. I enjoy picking up a focal bead and going with what feeling strikes me at that moment.

I enjoy working with semi-precious gemstones, seed beads and glass beads. I don't have one specific stone that i like working with, I just am fond of all semi-precious stones. They provide inspiration for a lot of my pieces, because there is such an eclectic variety of them out there.

A favorite colour scheme is another thing that I do not have. I find that constrains me as well. There is a rainbow of colours among my designs. When I am working on a piece, it will usually contain stones and beads along the same tonal palette. There is the odd time that will find myself making a piece with contrasting colours.

I believe a beautiful piece of jewellery adds a lot to an outfit.Whether it be a simple one or two strand design or something more elaborate, having something unique to wear sets you apart.
